WHAT TYPE OF DANCE FLOOR IS USED?Our "Floating" Dance Floor absorbs the shock and impact of regular dance movement. This benefits students by reducing fatigue and preventing injury that can result from dancing on hard surfaces. The top layer of our flooring surface is a professional vinyl composite "marley" floor. This marley floor surface has a certain amount of controlled slip to allow for sliding in dance movement, but is not slippery. Good dance floors prevent injury and allow a dancer to dance longer without tiring. WHAT SIZE ARE YOUR CLASS SIZES? At GYCDE, our class sizes are limited in order for students to get more individual instruction from our faculty, and as a result progress at a faster level than in a large class environment. Our smaller class sizes also ensure that the teacher can catch any problems before they turn into bad habits or improper techniques. DO YOU OFFER A WIDE VARIETY OF DANCE STYLES IN YOUR CLASSES? Highly qualified teachers with varied training and teaching methods are available to teach a broad range of dance formats. We believe in making dance fun and enjoyable for a wide variety of dance preferences… there’s something for everyone at GYCDE! IS THERE STAFF AVAILABLE TO ASSIST ME? Our office staff is available to assist you during all class times plus during regular office hours. Teachers do not interrupt class to assist you because the quality of the lessons comes first. HOW LONG ARE YOUR PERFORMANCES? The length of our performances are controlled with the enjoyment of the audience in mind. We do not do 3 hour marathon-type "recitals". Even Dads enjoy our shows!!! WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE GYCDE? Greater York Is About Convenience!
