Our Mission...Dance to express...not to impress! Our mission is to excite the heart, mind, soul and spirit through dance. By meeting the challenges of classical dance, it is our hope that each student finds themselves better prepared for life's endeavors.
It is the intent of the Greater York Center for Dance Education to provide an enriching dance experience to the broadest number of people through performances and classes in a happy, gentle and safe environment that inspires excellence.
Students are encouraged through classes, workshops, performances and individual attention to follow their aspirations. All students use the professional atmosphere in which to grow and receive the opportunity to perform as an extension of class studies and to contribute culturally to the community.

Testimonials
"In the last 8 years, Morgan has changed from a shy child into a confident and expressive young lady. We attribute these changes to Greater York’s commitment to help each dancer become the best person that he or she can be!"

"We are proud of the way Madison has grown by being part of your dance studio over the past seven years. Through the art of dance, GYCDE has offered wonderful opportunities to build self-confidence and character and develop balance and poise. We believe Madison is developing a foundation of skills which can be transferred to other areas throughout her life and to help her achieve her goals."
- Sam & Lisa Weinstein
"GYCDE has allowed our daughter not only to realize her dream of dancing en pointe, but to do it so well that a career in the art is a serious possibility."
- Tony & Donna Daniell
"We have two teenage daughters who have been dancing at GYCDE from an early age. As parents, we feel that their dance training has helped to give them poise, confidence, and respect of the arts, their teachers and their peers. Our daughters have a terrific group of dance friends with which they are able to have fun in a healthy environment. Their opinion of their dance education is that it is fun; it helps them to stay focused on school work because it keeps them busy and it has provided them with the best of friends."
- Rich & Verna Stilwell
"I can honestly say that dance has significantly helped my quiet and shy daughter to blossom. Through ballet, she has gained much confidence over the past few years and has made many new friends. Dance is definitely Haley's "thing" and I know it will only become more exciting for her as she grows. Plus, through volunteering, I get to be involved in her world. Thanks Lori and Mindy."
